» OVER 130 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE … DEEP DRAWN PARTS SINCE 1876!

• HISTORY OF OUR COMPANY …

Adam Georg Thorwarth founded the company in May 1876 under the name “1.Deutsche Zwingenfabrik” in Schmalkalden, Germany. The company produced ferrules, caps covering the wooden handles of different tools. The company was able to work more efficiently than it´s competitors due to the early implementation of deep-drawing technology.

Constant growth of the family-run company led to an expansion in 1903. Always focusing on economic production, the company has since become a reliable partner for the manufacturing of ferrules, sleeves, casings and other deep-drawing parts.

From 1990 on, the family tradition was upheld by graduate engineer Jürgen Thorwarth, great-grandson of the company´s founder. Despite difficult conditions he managed to adapt the company to the requirements of a modern free market-economy. Nowadays his grandsons Michael Thorwarth and Andreas Tanz continue the business – a business which looks back on a tradition of more than 130 years. As the successor to today the two grandchildren Michael Thorwarth and Andreas Tanz lead over the 140-year old tradition.

Nowadays the company (25 employees) produces more than 120 million deep-drawing parts per year, using cutting-edge technology.
